OUR STORY
PRODEF, MAJOR FRENCH MANUFACTURER OF CLEANING AND HYGIENE PRODUCTS
The PRODEF Group has developed cleaning and hygiene products through its brands for 4 generations. Created in 1924, the family group has developed itself around its raison d’être which is offering cleaning, care and hygiene products to the general public and professionals while respecting the environment and health. Discover the Group’s story and its founder, Raoul Nordling, “saviour of Paris”!
Raoul Nordling
Raoul Nordling is the founder of PRODEF in 1924 and…the saviour of Paris! In fact, he had an extraordinary destiny. In addition to his job as company head, he was also the Swedish consul. He played a key role in the Liberation of Paris in 1944 by managing to convince the German military governor of Paris, General Von Choltitz, to not destroy the capital, as expressly ordered by Hitler. Various films recount this famous negotiation, including “Is Paris Burning?” by Orson Welles and, more recently, “Diplomacy” with André Dussolier.
The PRODEF Group is a family group as, since 1924, 4 generations have succeeded each other in the ownership of the company. Raoul Nordling is the great-great-uncle of the current CEO, Guillaume Fiévet.
