PME+ label
PRODEF obtained the PME+ label in 2015. This label is awarded to entrepreneurs responsible on a daily basis who comply with an environmentally responsible approach, contribute to local employment development and are part of a virtuous continuous improvement process.
ESSEC Grand Prix 2017
Savonnerie du Midi won the ESSEC Grand Prix 2017 prize for Responsible Consumption Industries in the “Sustainable ways of buying” category.
Savonnerie du Midi, an establishment of Compagnie du Midi, defends the real Marseille soap, a responsible traditional product.
This reward is a strong signal and an encouragement for the stakeholders of Savonnerie du Midi, clients and employees.
Partnership with the In-Kind Donation Agency
In 2017, Compagnie du Midi and Hygiène & Nature signed a partnership with the In-Kind Donation Agency, thus reinforcing its CSR activity.
Every year, Compagnie du Midi and Hygiène & Nature donate a portion of their turnover to the In-Kind Donation Agency in the form of products. These products are then distributed across France to people living in precariousness.

ISO 9001 certification
All of PRODEF’s subsidiaries are ISO 9001 certified, demonstrating our commitment towards quality and compliance. This certification proves our ability to meet client requirements and the strictest regulatory standards.
Commitment to eco-design
We are convinced that eco-design is essential for reducing our environmental impact. At PRODEF, we undertake to integrate the eco-design principles into our professional cleaning and hygiene product development processes. This includes reducing waste, limiting harmful substances and preserving natural resources.
Ecolabel and ECOCERT certifications
To guarantee the sustainability of our products, we possess the European Ecolabel and ECOCERT certifications. These certifications recognise our commitment to the environment and human health.
Ecolabel : This takes into consideration the full life cycle of the product: choice of raw materials, formulation, manufacturing, distribution, consumption and elimination after usage.
ECOCERT : ECOCERT: guarantees that the different components are collected, transformed and extracted in accordance with the procedures validated by ECOCERT, using an approach and production methods which respect the environment.
COSMEBIO certification
As part of our approach towards natural and organic cosmetics, Compagnie du Midi, a subsidiary of PRODEF, is a member of the COSMEBIO association and certifies a large number of its COSMEBIO products.
This label guarantees the use of 95% natural ingredients, respect towards nature and animals, and the promotion of a fair & social trade.
INVESTMENT IN FAVOUR OF SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT
At PRODEF, our commitment towards sustainable development is also materialised through a dynamic Research & Development (R&D) policy centred on quality, innovation and environmental compliance.
Research and Development Laboratory
Hygiène & Nature and Compagnie du Midi have their own laboratory where our specialised teams work on the development of innovative formulas. We are proud to benefit from the “Marketing Authorisations” for our products, which demonstrates their quality and compliance with the standards.
Attentiveness to users and performance tests
We give great importance to listening to our users and their expectations. Our engineers conduct performance testing campaigns in collaboration with external laboratories, universities and internally, thus favouring long-term project development and guaranteeing client satisfaction.
Continuous technological and regulatory monitoring
We carry out continuous technological and regulatory monitoring to remain at the cutting edge of innovation while respecting the standards and regulations in force. This allows us to regularly manage our innovations and guarantee their compliance.
Certifications and associative commitments
As members of the French Federation of Hygiene and Responsible Cleaning (formerly AFISE) and participants of the responsible chemistry programme within France Chimie (formerly Union of Chemical Industries (UIC)), we actively contribute to the legal and regulatory changes to the sector. Our commitment towards safety and the environment is at the heart of our actions.
INVESTMENTS IN INDUSTRIAL EQUIPMENT AND TRAINING
We invest in the industrial equipment of our production sites and in the training of our employees, thus guaranteeing the transfer and preservation of our know-how. These regular investments contribute to maintaining an optimal quality process, from the manufacturing to the packaging of our products.
DEFENCE OF TRADITIONAL KNOW-HOW
At PRODEF, we value and preserve traditional know-how. We are proud to contribute to the durability of the craftsmanship profession and the transfer of ancestral skills, such as the art of manufacturing the real Marseille soap. Our commitment towards the preservation of these traditions is reflected in each of our actions.

As a French company, we are determined to promote French know-how on a global scale. Through our “Made in France” promotion actions, we have been exporting our expertise and high-quality products since 2014, thus contributing to France’s influence all over the world.
